The National Association of Philosophy Students (NAPS) Nigeria is an organization which serve as umbrella body of the more than 10,000 membership strong chapters of the body across Nigeria. NAPS is the national platform for students of philosophy in all the universities in Nigeria and the body is a vision of some students who saw the need to provide an healthy platform for the cross-fertilization of ideas in Nigeria.

The association is a body that is set to promote the quest for knowledge and to the emancipation of the African minds from the shackles of superstitions through educative media such as: seminars, conferences, lectures, debates, essay writing competitions and other media for advancing the Socratic quests.

The association is dedicated to the course of reason with special bias for critical inquiry. We are non-religious, non-partisan and non-sectarian rather we are committed to the pursuit of the philosophical ideal of critical reflections on the ideas we live by, since we are all students of ideas.

The association is affiliated with so many philosophy-based organizations in Nigeria and other parts of the world; we are ready to further affiliate and partner with any organization who share our affirmations. This association is open to both undergraduates and post-graduate students of philosophy in any university across Nigeria.
